Wal-Mart will still track it, believe it or not--they just don't do it in a fashion that's obvious to you. (They have to worry about lawsuits and the like.)Wal-Mart simply tracks it by filling out their federal fireams forms. Not live, not electronic. There is no tracking at the register.

Just because you don't see them tracking it doesn't mean that they don't.
