Savage stated that Clinton had predicted that the war would be over in 2 days, raising the expectations, unrealistically, for a quick victory (don't know how I missed this, I was on vaca skiing in Telluride, CO). Is this really true? Yes, Miss Marple, I and others documented it when, in less than a week into the war the media were crying "lull" and "quagmire" and accusing the Bush Administration of saying it would take just a few days.
In reality, clinton was the one running around shooting off his mouth----at a time of imminent war, mind you, saying it would take "just a few days" and the like. Yes, he did it on numerous occasions during the two weeks leading up to the first strike.
Of course, the Bush Administration had issued statements that urged caution and that it might take time.

(thousands of cheering Iraqis yelled, "America, America, America," and "Bush, Bush, Bush.")
