If control of knowledge is not the present power of this age then why did we have a "pervert" as president for two terms.

Runtime error. Unfalsifiable arguments ("if"...) are a non-starter and will not compile. Try again.

Proverbs describes "wisdom" and where it comes from.

It sure does.

Reverence Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: Proverbs 1:7

KJV, thank you.

It is our Heavenly Father's will whether one is given "wisdom". Some would not know what to do with the "wisdom" from our Father, check out this thread.

The "wise" (and absolutely vain) speaketh... </sarcasm>

This "day and age" is quite appropriate - the flesh age.

When were we ever in any other? The "flesh age" has been here since Eden. So you've spoken, yet have said nothing "appropriate."

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
--Proverbs 4:7

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
--James 1:5

Try II Peter 2:5-7 Peter describes the three different heaven and earth ages. Jeremiah 4: 22-27 Describes the first heaven/earth age. This is not Noah's flood.

There are other places where the different "three" are described, but these should get you started.

The "wise" shall understand.
