Linda Vester reported a little while ago that the US Exploitation Team has arrived at the Tabawaitha site. Further testing is causing more concern, not less. And the IAUA, or whatever the acronym is, is starting to fret.

Thank you. I had missed this information. It's a worry.

Myers talking about the CARDS.

I am so glad Rumsfeld slammed the press for their lies about the "ambivalence" of the Iraqi people about being liberated. He pointed out they are overjoyed at our presence and relieved.

Here come the wankers in the press. Ah, what a surprise. First question is about LOOTING.

Earlier Dr. Bob was talking about hospitals being cleaned out. Does that mean that that isn't from the looting?

Press conference?

Yep, Rummy and Meyers. Rummy's opening statement..."Working hard to get Iraqi TV and radio back on the air fulltime". Questions starting now.

So was I..and I'm a three years younger than Ollie, and, like him, in decent shape...but not for that kind of effort..it takes a toll, and that's what's showing on his face...

You were a marine! Cool! Well, I am praying for Ollie and hope he comes through. He has done a superb job of reporting!

I tuned in on the tail end of something on WBAP about Geraldo. Seems soldiers (?) wiped their hands in unmentionable areas before shaking hands with him. What's that all about? Didn't know anyone was that upset with him. BTW, where has he been lately?

Since we're on the subject of failed war plans, here's Victor Davis Hanson's view:
The Ironies of War

--snip--
Thus it is nearly impossible to recall a similar advance that has traveled so far, so fast, with so few losses, without major shortages of fuel, ammunition, and food — and without being parasitic on the surrounding countryside. What happened the last three weeks is unprecedented in military history.

--snip--

We have no idea of the nature of eventual peace settlements, but already the roll into Baghdad as an act of liberation and a military masterpiece will rank along with Epaminondas’s trek to free the helots, Sherman’s March, and Patton’s long race to the German border. Meanwhile, everyone seems either to have criticized or belatedly praised “the plan”; but so far no one seems to quite know how 250,000 brave American, British, and Australian young men and women in the field are actually pulling it off.

Victor Davis Hanson rocks!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Speaking of war plans, remember all the "leaked" war plans?
Starting last August in the NY Slimes, we saw at least 6 different plans "Inside Out" "Rolling Start" "Gulf War Lite" and lately "Shock and Awe".

It seems to me that parts of each of these plans were used. We had a rolling start of ground forces into Iraq BEFORE the "Shock and Awe" air campaign. This week Baghdad seemed to fall overnight from the "Inside Out"!!

We told them what we were going to do, but it was still a surprise!

Rummy is REEMING out a certain newspaper (any guesses?) for taking away the greatness of liberation, by only printing overblown chaos and anarchey headlines.

It also affects him when Marines get hurt. They are like his sons. What a General he would have made.
