Greetings All! I am just checking in for the first time in a couple of days. I have been sick and barely managed to get off the couch Wednesday. I was glued to the TV, as I'm sure everyone was. As someone who has followed the Situation Room thread since Day 1, I missed being able to comment on the days historic events. I enjoyed reading through Wednesdays thread; everyone spoke very well. Although their is still much more to do, no question Wednesday was a big day, and I have enjoyed sharing/commenting on the experience with everyone.

You know, it's hard to believe we have to take people as clueless as Harkin seriously. Where was he when asymmetric warfare was explained. Where has he been for all of the President's, and Colin Powell's, and Donald Rumsfeld's, patient explanations of the threat we faced. If Harkin has a good argument as to the magnitude of the threat, let's hear it, but to demonstrate in public that you are totally clueless as to what the grown-ups were talking about is shameful. This buffoon once passed as a Democratic presidential hopeful. BAH!

Was anyone listening to Jay and Eileen on WLS today. They were interviewing somebody at a Syrian think tank today. Good interview, they didn't let get away with much. Jay kept mangling the man's name. The man they were interviewing repeated his name. Eileen then told Jay ''It's a French name.'' Almost had to pull over I was laughing so hard.

I'm ttrying to find the earlier threads posted here about the meeting with Russia/Germany/France..I couldn't find them on search...I don't remember any of the articles mentioning that Blair was invited to attend, but that he turned them down...this was mentioned in a column in the SUN just posted...curious omission, eh?

Thanks for the update RK! I'm jumping in and out of the thread today too.

I have also heard that Mosel (Mosul?) is in coalition control with practically all the Iraqi soldiers there, surrendering and going home.

Also I heard that we are watching an area on the Iraqi and Syrian border for possibly people coming in or out and poss. WMD's
