Anyone else love how Drudge has lately begun to throw in other shows there for comparison purposes? Even WITH the war ratings boost, MSNBC is still getting handily trounced by South Park, of all things! CNN at 8 pm is faring no better, though at least the rest of their lineup is doing better than South Park. One can only wonder what they'd be thinking right now if Larry King were to be losing out to Cartman.
Secondly, Greta van Susteren must be thrilled. She went from having the #2 show on CNN, to having the #3 show on FNC. While on FNC she's only #3, she's STILL getting much better ratings than everything on CNN. Even Larry King is a full point behind her. I can't imagine CNN is to thrilled with that, either. Especially considering that Paula Zahn, who they got from FNC, hasn't exactly been much of a ratings bonanza. Getting Paula doesn't look like all that much of a coup, does it, CNN?
And lastly, Fox & Friends. They actually beat out a network morning show! Looks like Fox & Friends is shaping up to be a serious contender, even amongst the broadcast networks. Could the day be coming where E.D. Hill is more well-known and well-liked than 'Perky' Katie Couric? With any luck, the answer'll be yes.

South Park is funnier too.
As Eric would say, "kick a$$"

South Park, incidentally, was quite funny last night. I can't wait for them to do a Garafolo spoof.

I can't figure why Brit Hume isn't a lot higher in the ratings. To me, he's betta than greta.

Because he's on at 6:00 pm EST, which is out of prime time, meaning only a fraction of the eyeballs are watching TV at that time.
Right?
Or is my logic wrong here?
Is Greta actually in a worse position being on at 10:00pm EST/1:00am PST?
I dunno.
To: gcruse
I think Britt is terrific. But note that none of the shows are straight news ... or rather most of them are commentary and short on news.

MSNBC:
"Screw you guys, I'm going home"
To: Warhead W-88
Wait-- Greta's on 10:OO PM EST/7:00 PM PST, which is definitely better than Hume's lame time slot of 6:00PM EST/3:00PM PST.
To: Ferret Fawcet
Fox is way up hyah, those other guys are way down hyeh.
To: Green Knight
Can anyone explain why Fox News doesnt put up a netowrk 6:30 ET show to directly compete with the big 3? Brit would smash them.

It was a disappointing South Park. Have your cake and eat it too? Kenny is alive?
Brit Hume is the class of Fox but is on at 6 so is not going to get any ratings that mean anything.

That's perfect SP material. They'll tear her a new one.

BTW, wazzup with Lester Holt? The other day I saw him filling in for Lauer with Couric and then doing the afternoon/evening/night shift 'til Joe Scarborough came on at 10. That is a day.
