There is no way that Turkey will ever consider risking a confrontation with the US military.

I don't see how anyone from the Turkish military command or even the Head of State could expect to remain in power after sending their troops on a what would be a suicide mission.

I'm sure Turkey's military leaders are well versed in what the 4th ID's capabilities are.

This is what I read in Insight Magazines most recent edition, from the insider section:

" Keep an eye on Turkey. M16 has reported to London that the top military brass in Ankara have been actively considering a coup to prevent further deterioration of the special relationship between Turkey and the United States and the United Kingdom."
