"I am sorry that you have chosen to use baseball and your position at the Hall of Fame to make a political statement," Robbins wrote. But it's ok if I do cuz I are a H'wood star.

No, baseball is not a republican sport, it's an American sport, something which Robbins and his ilk would never understand.

"He responded with a letter he planned to send to Petroskey"
Which, if Petroskey is wise, will promptly be placed in the trashcan, unopened.

In his letter, Robbins said he'd been looking forward to "a weekend away from politics and war." He said he remained "skeptical" of the war plans and told Petroskey he did not realize baseball was "a Republican sport." Abner Doubleday, who is credited with inventing baseball, was a staunch Republican (and as a Civil War general was briefly in command of the Union forces on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg), so baseball is in fact a "Republican sport". Non-Republicans are free to play the game and pretend to in motion pictures, but they should respect the Patriotism and dedication to the defense of liberty of the game's founder and always remember that there is no crying or whining in baseball.

Reached Wednesday night, Robbins said he was "dismayed" by the decision. He responded with a letter he planned to send to Petroskey, telling him: "You belong with the cowards and ideologues in a hall of infamy and shame." How does it feel Tim, you little shit? Where were you when the left drove Dr. Laura off the air?

wish you had, in your letter, saved me the rhetoric and talked honestly about your ties to the Bush and Reagan administrations. I guess Robbins is not tied to the Democrat party. I saw this story on the ESPN website which basically consists of nothing more than liberal sports writers. I think ESPN stands for the Entertainment and Sports Progressive Network.
