A small correction... Jean Chretien's son-in-law and his father are on the board of TOTALFINI, and as well they both serve on the board of Power Corporation, which has an interest in TotalFini....

Recently the Canadian Government signed the Kyoto agreement; this agreement would have put the brakes on the tar-sands recovery...but all of a sudden there was an exception to the agreement, that would allow the tar-sands to proceed unhindered by Kyoto...why you may ask...well, TOTALFINI has a big interest in the tar-sands and needed the Kyoto, so Chretien changed the rules to fit TOTALFINI...
