Who is Martin Amis? I'd be very interested in what he has to say.

He is Kingsley Amis' son and a famous novelist, journalist and critic in his own right. Started out very lefty, like his Dad, but also like his Dad did has come around to our way of thinking. Koba the Dread, which is not fiction, is the best thing I've ever read about Stalin. And believe it or not, it manages to be both horrifying and funny. If I were Rod Page, every high school kid would have to read that book before graduating, it is much, much more accessible than The Gulag (which few people these days have the time or stomach for.) Koba brings the Cold War into painfully sharp focus.
