I refuse to watch movies at the first run theaters and having to pay over $5 for a ticket.
I can wait 6 months for the movies to hit the local secound run theater were I live.
Movies before 6PM are $1, after 6PM $1.50, and on Tuesday all movies at all times are $0.50.
Leaves more money for popcorn if I feel like eating something. Usually I eat before going. $3.50 for a small bucket of popcorn is way too much.
I can get a burger fries and coke for less than that.

I don't go to movies anymore really. I wait for it to come out on video. Here in NY, a movie ticket is now $9.00 and I won't even talk about the FOOD. If it is truly a compelling movie,I will go. The reason why the funny movies are so popular is because people want to laugh. Personally, I'd go to see the Queen Latifah movie. I love Eugene Levy, Steve Martin, and Queen Latifah.
