My guess is that in a true national election campaign against Dubya, she'll have to
answer real questions.

Her only hope (and that of any Democratic candidate in 2004) is a really tanking economy.
It will be interesting to see if that happens when the world is (likely) in an oil glut

I'm not so sure the moderate Democrats are going to be in the driver's seat. There's still fights to be fought and the Dems are very much a left-wing party at the moment. I expect to see a self-destructive Mondale/Dukakis sort of period for at least the next election cycle.

And Democrats don't have the lock on the media they used to have, and they don't control Congress. If they begin to lose their entrenched positions in the beuracracy and can't play Santa Claus they could really start to suffer.
