I disagree with Fred Barnes. I do not think the Hotel should have been off limits to the tank if it thought it was taking fire from there or spotters were there.

I think the journalist were idiots to not understand that they should not put weapon or spotter looking things on tanks. But as I certainly feel sorry for the families of everyone who lost a loved one. Heck I basically agree with the Labourite minister who said in question times that he did not want to see the innocent killed or for that matter the guilty. Other than Saddam and a few others I agree with him.

And of course the thing with the tank is moot. If you look on the map as the Brit journalist said, no way that tank hit the east side of that hotel. No use mortar could have either if I understand parabolas.

Many of the city reporters build sandbagged bunkers to film behind. If you are a soldier seeing a sandbagged bunker with a reflecting lens behind it......what would you do? Especially if you are getting incoming from that direction. We took the same cr*p from the press in VN. The idiots in that hotel should know the precarious position they are placing THEMSELVES in. I mourn their deaths, but I can recognize a responsible journalist vs a screaming socialist reporter with an adjenda. FOX has pros, many other organizations don't.
