Lester Holt has Craig White on now. They're running his video of the firefight right now.
I didn't realize---a guy is shown being carried on a stretcher and shoots from the stretcher! they just showed it and Lester asked Craig if the guy hit what he was aiming at....Craig said yes. Hit twice he thought. Craig says you can't hear 9/10 of the small arms fire that was actually there.

Craig said they were under so much fire---a platoon arrived just in time to help them.
Craig said he was just about to pick up a gun and start firing. A guy with him suggested he do it, too, when help arrived.

Craig White of the Bloom Mobile was speaking with Lester Holt about that fight that he taped on Monday. They're at a break, not sure if he'll still be there when they get back.
He's been giving a gripping description. I hope Lester replays the interview tonight, which takes place as the tape plays out so Craig can better explain what is going on.
He was THISCLOSE to picking up a gun himself when backup arrived.

Hit twice he thought. Is he the one who will be getting his 3rd Purple Heart? The reporter mentioned one of those guys is. Also got one in Mogadishu.

Also heard the reporter say that the guy who jumped in the vehicle that was already burning said he would go do it because he didn't have any kids...
