No matter who they pick, half of their party will be p!$$ed off. IF they pick a candidate that voted for the resolution, the appeaseniks will probably vote for the green party...And if they pick an anti war candidate, they will keep 50% of their base, but lose the other half as well as a huge chunk of the swing vote who is supporting our actions now...

I don't take kindly to being "told what to do" by someone who has a peeve.

My replies involved no name calling, just my opinion on what this thread is. Just because I disagree doesn't mean I'm wrong.

I know exactly what he was trying to say. And personally I find it ridiculous. After 22 days, anyone knows this is a LIVE thread. There are hundreds of others to get breaking news. We break it here also, but then we chat because this is how we are watching the war.

I'm glad you found Breaking News also...I wish more people would bother to read everything Free Republic has to offer.

the purpose, that you keep missing, is a LIVE report of the days events.
Those events are not always breaking news, the iraqi Sign with the word WANKER on it, was an event..we discussed it..
the liberation of Iraq, yup, we covered that, the first day of bombing, we handled it, pretty chickens newest goof, covered in real time.
If you insist on discussing only the wars battles, deaths and plans, then please, please, feel free to take the doom and gloom elsewhere. I would like to celebrate all of the aspects of this war, be it achmed, or Tori's tacky jacket, be it the saddam statue, or WMD, I will gather here ever day, side by side with these freepers, and vigilantly watch and report on this war, I will cry , I will laugh, I will applaud, and I will yell. I will do it with the piece of mind that I am a human, having human reactions to human drama...with fellow humans.
