Iraqi people drag the head part of the statue of Sadam Hussein after it was taken down by Iraqi prople with help by Marine's M88 Vehicle at downtown Baghdad April 9, 2003. A day after rejoicing Iraqis greeted U.S. forces in Baghdad following the collapse of Saddam's once-fearsome rule there were signs that the way forward for Iraq (news - web sites) may be difficult. I liked the shot of that burly Iraqi beating on that pedestal with his sledge hammer, then handing it over only after he tired. Of coures, Peter Jennings informed his audience that the crowd was "small". Talk about missing the eseence of the moment! Jeez, these folks are deranged -- not to mention "small" themselves.
