We can't make the whole world like us. That's a fact. However, we can make them respect us. Given a choice between the two, I'd choose "respect" over "like" any time. Perhaps the next time some tin-pot tyrant gets a bee in his bonnet, he'll remember what happened in Iraq. That's not such a bad thing.

I don't care if they LIKE us. But it sure looks like the ones in Iraq do, doesn't it? As for the rest of them, I'm not interested in their "hearts and mind." I'm leaning more toward that "fear of God" thing.
