I heard something about Brooks saying to a reporter, "a person would have to be crazy to believe that". He was replying to the charge that we targeted the reporters on purpose.
Also ... a BBC (believe it or not) reporter has been investigating and his story is that in order for our tanks to have shot the reporters, the mortars would have had to GO AROUND THE CORNER OF THE BUILDING. He said that he saw the outside and inside damage of the building and there is no way it was from tank fire (insufficient damage). He also said that the damage to the room and outside on the balcony indicated bullets, not mortars, and intimated he thought Iraqi people had fired on the reporters who were on their balcony taking pictures of the Iraqi people.

So iraqis fired a mortar round or RPG in there? It was just bullets, it looked bigger than that.
