Fox News Channel's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" (10-11 p.m.) earned the highest ratings in FNC history Monday night, snaring a whopping 6.3 rating and 5.1 million households.
By comparison in that timeslot, CNN's Aaron Brown averaged 3.2 million households (3.7 rating) while MSNBC averaged 1.8 million hhs.

The Bride of Foxenstein. Shes unbearable, yet somehow light years better than Aaron Brown.
For me, Greta's hour belongs to MSNBC.

Greta is no Kiran Chetry....but her show at times can be very good. When she does real news, its not bad.
She needs to get away from the 1-hr kidnapping abduction shows....too much of those at times

Didn't her show start when the Saddam was in the restaurant item hit the newscasts? I bet that's why she was No. 1.

In more media news, the Democratic Underground's thread on the media is a total, hilarious scream. They hate CNN. They refer to the channel that we call PMSNBC as BSNBC. It will have you laughing out loud.

How amazing, just a few years ago I couldn't stand Greta. And Fox's ratings, given the fact that FNC is not available in nearly as many homes as CNN, is remarkable. Heads will roll in CNN, they "made their bones" in Gulf War I, and this war has been a huge ratings disappointment for them.

Me, too. Joe Scarborough might not be the most polished on-air personality. But he's way better than Greta.
Now, put either Hannity & Colmes or O'Reilly in that time slot, and I'll have to weigh the issues.

The ratings winner is the one in the seat when the sun comes up in Bagdad. Sometimes being in the right place at the right time is all it takes.

I've recently begun to look in during that time slot as well. After Andrea Mitchell broke the news of Saddam's bomb, I had to give them a chance. Had info I didn't/haven't heard anywhere else.

MSNBC reported this at least 25 minutes before Fox picked it up. I was timing it. CNN was in 5 minutes ahead of Fox, 20 mins after MSNBC.

The irony is that Greta barely (if at all) showed her face on that show; it was all live war coverage.

Her program was the best source of news during the war. And there was no negativism which ALL the others had from time to time. H&C always had some RAT
@$$h@ll on as did O'Reilly. She never did just military experts and people supporting removal of the Lunatic. Never a big fan, I give her a hearty hooray for her work during the last month.
