The Iraqis are not the only oppressed people in the world. It is unfortunate that the world community only frees people under these circumstances when it happens to coincide with their national interests.

The 'world community' didn't free Iraq. In fact, the coalition freed Iraq against the objections of most of that community. Does the fact we cannot free everyone at once mean we must not free anybody at all?
