The sickening thing is that the New York Times has not shown a single smiling Iraqi celebration photo the past two days.

Part of my job here at the newspaper I work for is to select photos. There have been HUNDREDS of different Iraqi celebration shots on the AP/Reuters Merlin PhotoDesk. And the NYT has made a conscious, deliberate decision to NOT PUBLISH THEM.

What a piece of sh*t Howell Raines is.

Earlier this morning, it was noted that our guys emptied a Children's prison. Imprisoned because they wouldn't join the local 'Saddam fan club, (my definition). Our guys did that!

You means that Raines guy would not allow any of these photos to see the light of day?

Same thing on ABC News w/ Peter Jennings (yes,yes- I should know...).
Just about every night he shows photos, and none of them even compare to the beautiful pictures I have seen here on FR.
Having an 11 year old daughter myself, the photos of the smiling children are especially touching. (Theres something heavenly in seeing a child smile...)

To be fair - they did show footage of the statue coming down, with people jumping up and down on it. And another of an older Iraqi gentleman holding a Sadam poster and hitting it with his shoe...that was pretty cool!
