Now for the question of Adrian Belew ('scuse me whilst I pick myself up off the floor from laughing)...and you claim to be a musician...hehehe...I would bet that CM knows who he is!!!! However..since I gots to *edjukate* ya'.....
Almost anyone who has listened to music since the late '70s has Probably heard Adrian in one role or another. It could have been with Frank Zappa, David Byrne, Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, Herbie Hancock or Riuichi Sakamoto in the '70s into the '80s. It might have been in some elevator or chi-chi restaurant where they were playing "You Can Call Me Al", "Boy in the Bubble" or something else from Graceland.
You might have thought that you heard him in the original King Crimson on "In The Court of the Crimson King", but you didn't. He was listening as a fan then, and didn't become a Crim until 1981. If you were one of the 3 million plus who saw the Bowie "Sound+Vision Tour" in 1990, Adrian was the guy with the ponytail. If you're Generation X, you probably heard his sensational guitar solos on NIN or Crash Test Dummies, his song-writing in "Fantasy" by Mariah or his production, guitar and cello playing on "Flood" by Jars of Clay.
A multi-instrumentalist (he started on drums and is in the Guitar Gallery of Greats), consummate arranger and gold record producer, #1 songwriter and terrific vocalist, Adrian Belew is the frontman for the current Crimson Kings.
He's done songs with David Bowie & others.....Just go check out his page, will ya'???? Yer missin out on some kick a$$ music!!!!
I can't wait around forever, y'all...there's information to be disbursed...MUD
