Morning.

Been insanely busy these last few weeks. Haven't had time for much more than work and a little sleep!

Can't complain though, work is good for the soul(and the wallet, no paid time off in my business!LOL)

Going to lay on the beach in Fla. next week, boy do I need it!

If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your a$$ good-bye.

After the hectic (and at times soul destroying) weekend I've just put in getting my 'show' on the road - THIS I can identify with!

We were in South Beach last year. Boy, I love that town.

This year we're going to a B&B on the west coast.

I am in need of a quiet and relaxing place. Nothing to do but tanning and fishing and...., know what I mean?

I like this one! The more you try to please people, in the long run, it'll make you nuts!

Another great show tonight folks..and my properties are working very well - thank you! *taking a bow*.

The run up to a show is exhausting, but the rewards of a successful show, out weigh the hardship the week or two running up to it.

And I also really enjoy crewing this show instead of going on stage. It's really interesting to learn a lot of stuff behind the scenes. It's harder work than swishing yer skirt in the front line! ANY day of the week! :-)

ssssssh, don't say that too loud....I'm trying to convince my daughter that she wants to be a photographer or hair stylist or make up artist, NOT a model. She certainly has the looks for a model....but it is NOT all it's cracked up to be.

Why don't you tell her she can be a model, on the condition that she has a career option behind her?

All my friends this year ask me do I miss being on stage...they are surprised when I say 'No, not really'.

Yes of course I miss the adrenaline flow, and the applause when you sing a solo...etc.. But I'm getting a bigger kick out of discovering the immense and immediate uses of a staple gun! *LOL*

I actually do encourage them to be anything they want to be (within reason and with a few "subliminal" messages...lol). I find if you tell teens they can't do something, they want to.

Twenty eight years ago, Congress voted to cut off aid to South Vietnam, and then also abandoned Cambodia to the Khmer Rouge.

*On April 12, 1975, the last Americans were airlifted out. The [U.S.] ambassador, John Gunther Dean, offered to evacuate the leaders of the Cambodian government as well.
Henry Kissinger wrote, in Years of Renewal: “To our astonishment and shame, the vast majority refused…”

Cambodian government officials were on the Khmer Rouge's death list, including the former prime minister, Sirik Matak, who wrote this letter [to U. S. ambassador Dean:]

Dear Excellency and friend,

I thank you very sincerely for your letter and for you offer to transport me towards freedom. I cannot, alas, leave in such a cowardly fashion. As for you, and in particular for your great country, I never believed for a moment that you would have this sentiment of abandoning a people which has chosen liberty. You have refused us your protection, and we can do nothing about it.

You leave, and my wish is that you and your country will find happiness under this sky. But, mark it well, that if I shall die here on this spot and in my country that I love, it is no matter, because we are all born and must die. I have only committed this mistake of believing in you.

Please accept, Excellency and dear friend, my faithful and friendly sentiments.”

Matak died, along with 2 million of his countrymen. Have Democrats yet learned the lesson of Cambodia?

The liberals will never get it.

They have blinders, both in ideology and in reality,
permanently affixed.

It's truly a shame.

My wife's job has her in the village most of the week. One of her customers is a Cuban immigrant. The woman actually believes it is the U.S. and the Bush administration that is responsible for Castro executing dissidents, that we, in some way, have "provoked" him.

I often wonder if the neurons of the modern liberal mind fire backward.

I do hope we don't choose this route with Iraq. It would be sad to see us dessert them. It would be sad to abandon a people we faught so hard to liberate.
