The Mukharabat (spelling?) would be my bet.
I want that. I want to know what Ahmed al-Ani was up to in Prague. We'll have the good there.
It must be taken INTACT.

A few TV news stations have been taken by that specific tactic. It's a hoot.

At least Brokaw has some decency left in his body. Couric is despicable.
If NBC knows what's good for it, they will fire the stupid little wench today.

At the televised sight of the toppling of a statue of Saddam Hussein Katie said, "that's a serious
desecration".
Think of Kerry using "regime change needed in the White House" and the undeniable link in people's minds of regime change in Iraq. Well, that's the tactic Katie utilized. Linking desecration of statue of Saddam Hussein to desecration of the US flag.

"A few TV news stations have been taken by that specific tactic. It's a hoot." The biggest surprise to me is that I seem to have been the only one to catch it. I'd just flipped over there from Fox to see what Wolfie was doing, and the caller was right in the middle of it. Heard the ending, saw Wolfie turn red, great stuff.

I know--stupidest thing I've ever heard anyone say.
NBC should fire her today.

Same here. I've haven't found anyone on FR that also saw Tom diss Katie on NBC.

Just before Katie signed off at noon EDT, she was speaking very slowly with an obvious frown. While video of the Saddam statue being pulled down was being played all she could say was that "it has been a turbulent afternoon in Baghdad." I though she was going to cry!

Tom Daschle is deeply saddened.

Did you see the Ministry of Finance burning? I wonder, do the frogs have agents in Baghdad trying to obliterate the trails?

There won't be evidence in this building -- it was stripped and cleaned out weeks ago by the Iraqi regime.Actually, I would have high hopes of finding useful stuff. Consider the incredible tardiness of the regime in realizing the uberblitzkrieg was upon them. It's likely they might have had the intention of sanitizing the place, but the order might not have preceded the Marines...or the flunkies responsible might have deserted before the order was carried out because they saw the tanks coming up the highway before they went to work that day...
