"When Shep was doing his visit with Rick last night he mentioned how popular the show was. He commented that when they thought of doing this chat format, that they didn't think it would catch on, but their ratings from the night before (an 11pm east cost start, 8pm west coast) was 5.3. 5.3 at that time of night, WOW.

Anyway, I adore their chat time. I feel like I truly learn more about the spirit of the soldiers and what is happening in that 2 hour slot, than the other 22 hours."

I have *loved* this segment and the late-night (Pacific Time) coverage in general. I didn't get to bed till 1:00 a.m. PDT Sunday as I was so engrossed in watching Greg Kelly on Saddam's "front lawn," the Saddam statue on the horse being blown up, and of course the split screen of Baghdad Bob and the army that wasn't there.

When I went to bed last night it was morning in Baghdad and Rick was with Marines walking up and down the streets, trying to draw out snipers. So it was quite amazing to get up this morning and see the people of Baghdad joyously interacting with the troops and putting the chain around that statue!!

Sunday night was fantastic. I remember Shep signing off on Friday, saying he was taking the weekend off unless something happened. When I saw Greg Kelly in front of Saddam's palace, I knew it was only a matter of time before Shep would be back, and sure enough, he took over the Fox & Friends time slot thru that Monday morning. Couldn't keep him away.
