I for one am glad they were there. Even though their reports with minders present were terrible, they lived to tell us a story we won't have otherwise.

I considered their reports from Baghdad worthless..only a line or two to intimate restrictions..I had no interest in their bravery or pressure..I wanted real news and they weren't doing the news.If you are sneaking around enemy territory giving uncensored reporting..great but having a minder and feeling threatened is all about the journalist.The ones in the field under fire and eating MREs are the ones I respect."Hotel Palestine Under Fire" will be the most important war story to the Baghdad Bunch.
