One bad thing about the NTV cam is if that Saddam statue goes down the palm tree hides the important half of it, where the action will occur.

That's why I keep the "Open" dialog open and set to CBS :-). If I see a Bradley, an M1A1/2, or a crowd anywhere near that tree, I'm switchin'!

With respect to why we would leave Baghdad Bob on the air... remember we captured an Iraqi Colonel who was a forward lookout at the Baghdad airport a few days ago? He was found in a foxhole/bunker between the two runways. He was spotting for artillery crews.

He is now our EPW, and being held in a hangar at the airport. From a Sky article:

A captured Iraqi colonel being held in one of the hangars listened in astonishment as his information minister praised Republican Guard soldiers for recapturing the airport.

He looked at his captors and, as he realised that what he had heard was palpably untrue, his eye filled with tears. Turning to a translator, he asked: "How long have they been lying like this?"
