Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

To all who helped this get started and keep it running, thank you!
Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...

FNC reporter: Should the Republican Guard surrender?
"Combover" al-Douri: What Republican Guard? I did not see it!
I like this guy. He and Baghdad Bob should form a comedy team.

Richard is sure doing a lot of heavy breathing tonight.

Don't tempt me....Eric Shawn said he's leaving for France--doesn't say he left yet. First thing we can do is pull his diplomatic passport. With that, he can go anywhere untouched.

Come on dude, the phone number. Worth the money to make you turn and run, oops, that's a long jump buddy. lol

I'm beginning to think Liz is having a little fun with Pretty Chicken! Maybe she watches the bag cam, too.

God, is he a pompous ass or what?! Hahaha! I wonder if he knows how infamous he's gotten.

I think Clinton has more in common with Saddam than any other leader.Let's list similarities here:
Brings home-town cronies to capital
Overly concerned about legacy
Must be seen as being the best in every endeavor
Unhealthy need for public adulation
Organized campaign to get his face everywhere
Phony use of religion
Abuses the military
Tacky taste in home decor
You know, this is really spooky. I didn't even get into the rape and stuff like that!

Doesn't this guy know he has thousands (millions) of people watching him?Yeah, but he only knows about the ones who watch the finished version on Nightline tonight.
We don't think he has any idea we're watching all his outtakes and flubs. And, believe me, you could fill a BOOK with them!

Which clinton. Bill thought it was neato to be president. Hilary wanted to USE the presidency as a tool to excersize her personal power. Judging from other women lawyer types I have met like her, she is one indiffernt mean spirited female dog.
