my office shut down on Sept. 11. What a concept! Although my office remained open, I shut down on Sept. 11th..and went home.

Oh, I wish I'd seen that clip of Brit joking around and kissing his wife!! Smart, funny, and handsome...what a hunk. :)
Once at the end of his show they showed a home video of him playing with his granddaughter...a toddler who was saying something like "Fox News, Fair and Balanced." It was a hoot, and a nice glimpse of him "behind the news."

Back from school, looks lie a wonderful day for our troops and the iraqi people
Anything I have missed that's important?

Born into the Republican side of the family, too - so we'll have another vote for George P. Bush in 2024!

but where is the outcry??? or the lead-in - "now we bring in our reporter from the field - with an Iraqi gun to his head"BBC World Service radio has, throughout this war, always had the newsreader say something like, "so-and-so's reports are monitored by the Iraqi authorities and his movements are restricted. Now to so-and-so in Baghdad..."

Todya's NY Times had an article about the Iraqi who was freed by the Marines from the torture chamber..the quoted himas saying that he "hoped the US doesn't stay too long in Iraq. It would not be a good thing." can you believe it? no. I've read that quote before. They must have done a cut and paste job.

"Anything I have missed that's important?"
Uh, no.
Just kidding! I got up and turned on the TV at 7:00 PDT, as I have every day of the war, and as what I was seeing sank in, the tears started to flow...this was a day that won't be forgotten.

Did you see the film clip that FNC played a couple of months back of Brit Hume mocking Al Gore? He surprised his wife and everyone in the newsroom by grabbing her and planting a huge kiss on her ala Al and Tipper during the 2000 campaign. Yes indeed, she is one lucky woman. You beat me to it - that WAS a great clip. Really neat to see Brit loosen up a little.

London Iraqi embassy has been occupied by members of the Iraqi National Congress. Jordan's Iraqi embassy is closed for security reasons.

I am laughing my lil butt off here
there is an article in this weeks tv guide about Richard Engel aka pretty chicken.
"Before the war, Engle was a virtual unknown, the 27 year old has displayed nothing but grace under fire as abc's lone voice from baghdad...."
oh man oh man oh man....

It was a hoot, and a nice glimpse of him "behind the news." I remember that segment very vividly - because it was just a day or two before September 11, 2001, the terrible day our world changed forever.
