Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...

No CNN, MSNBC, and certainly none of the leftist 3 networks. They would suffer withdrawal symptoms .... heh he heh. Just imagine the screams when we tell them that is their punishment! LOL!

Good point! Have you noticed the distinct change in tone by David Chater and Simon Marks? Now that the pressure is off in their respected locations, they're nearly dancing in the streets - unlike the US media.
To: mwl1
call your local ABC affiliate and complain about Jennings Done. The dumb-person on the other end offered to give me an ABC telephone number. I said, "No thanks, you are an ABC affiliate, and what ABC puts on the air affects your station more than it does me."
To: Mo1
Fox reporter estimating 30,000 to 50,000 of them in Dearborn.
To: retrokitten; Lauratealeaf
We can only hope! Perhaps I'll send my suggestion to Shep - you think?

He stands by that and says he meant that terrorism will increase because of the war.

I especially enjoyed seeing David Chater dashing about the streets interviewing the troops and Iraqi citizens. He seemed as excited as we are!

Really? They should watch the live footage.
Then again, this is from the same group that on 3/25/03 started asking:
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
Are we there yet?
I imagine that soon, and in the same whiney voice they will be asking:
Are we done yet? Why does it take so long to rebuild a city?
Are we done yet? Why does it take so long to rebuild a city?
Are we done yet? Why does it take so long to rebuild a city?
Are we done yet? Why does it take so long to rebuild a city?
same shills, different day
