Agreed! This guy deserves it more than a vast number of "citizens". I say we give it to this guy, and kick out the Dixie Chicks!

The man would never be safe in Iraq. He would have to spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder.

"...its a nice gesture ... But he's needed in Iraq far more.

Very true.

"I appreciate the thought, but we need this man to stay in Iraq and be a leading Iraqi citizen a lot more than we need him in the U.S. as an American citizen."

1000% on the money BUMP.

What if he doesn't want to be an American citizen?
He can be proud of himself as an Iraqi citizen and as a good human being.Offering citizenship is almost an insult,as if being an Iraqi isn't good enough. He does deserve something but maybe we should let him decide.

I don't think we American should be telling this courageous man where he should
live. However, if it is possible to bestow upon him US citizenship and for him to
keep his status as an Iraqi citizen, dual citizenship if you will, I would be all for it. Let
him decide his own fate. That is one reason we are liberating the people of Iraq.

I think a full scholarship for one of his kids when they get older, in a nice Western university that doesn't teach bullshit

Heh.  Let me know if you find one, I'll go myself!

I wish they would stop being so specific about this guy's and his family's particulars...leave him alone, I'd hate to read that something bad came of this.
