Why not? IMO, that's the only viable option. The Israelis should say "Screw the UN", and, for that matter "screw the US State Department" when it comes to their national security. Since Israel is a democracy, if they annex the area, would the Palestinians become citizens? Would they have the right to vote?
There are approximately 6 million Israeli citizens, incliding 1 million Arabs. Unless the Palestinians are treated as non-citizens and Israel abandons it's status as a democracy, annexation is not an option unless Israelis are prepared to live in a nation where Arabs are the majority.

I have a good idea. Export the Palestinians to France! Maybe they can learn to be civilized from the Algerians. ;)
