Thanks for the heads up on the People for the American Way. It's clear they really hate the values that made this country what it is today. The trend that is showing up here that started with a Supreme Court decision to ban prayer from school, removing God from the Pledge, and the actions of People for the American Way are very disturbing.

1. The fact hat a liberal Jewish Center invites a liberal says nothing about Judaism and everything about Liberalism. Do you really want me to give the speaker list of the average Episcopal Church?
2.The JCOH was a wonderful Jewish institution for 2 decades. It was set up to serve Jews of all dominations. However, it slowly became the de facto Reform synagogue and has picked up Reconstructionist leanings. It has become leftist only with the introduction of Rabbi David Gelfand. Some prior rabbis had been fairly conservative.
I had the unpleasent experience of sitting near the late Senator Wellstone before he gave his speech at the Rosh Hashannah services.
My parents were founding members. I went to camp there for 4 years. My first job was at the camp. But for the help of Cantor Stein, I never would have been able to prepare for my Bar Mitzvah. It isn't easy for me to say a bad word about the JCoH. However, it has devolved into a leftist institution that puts liberalism above Judaism.
