There aren't a lot a palatable options. Israel can't maintain a state of occupation indefinitely, it can't annex the area, and no one else is willing to either.

The Jordanian Hashemites have been occupying the "palestinian" homeland for 81 years now. The so-called "road map" is yet another reward for Arab atrocities against the Jews. Bush and Blair would be wise to butt out of Israel altogether. Their handling of the Iraq War has been courageous and masterful, but this is folly.

As in '91, we are looking to win the war and lose the peace.

It would be nice if Jordan absorbed the west bank and gaza, but it's not likely to happen. The reality is that some sort of (second) Palestinian state is the only realistic option at the moment.
