Bob Arnot, currently reporting live on MSNBC says Coalition forces at his location are battling the Fedayeen and a group he said he WAS NOT ALLOWED TO IDENTIFY. Al Qaeda? Any other guesses? He did indicate that these are highly skilled fighters, especially in regards to sniping.

Absolutely....if Israel can do it ...so could they if motivated...especially with all that $$$.

I just noticed that Northern Iraq reminds me of the green rolling hills and plateaus of much of Montana interspersed with peak ranges here and there....decent cattle country I assume.

The Tigris/Euphrates delta ...looks like an arid to semi arid alluvial delta that could be irrigated and look more like the Miss. delta or maybe a Brasilian river delta in the NE of Brasil given the heat factor.

I can't help noticing that the two flags have the same background pattern. I believe the same is true for a number of Arabic flags. For all their internal differences, Arabs are basically a united anti-American front.

There's a difference between a well-trained rifleman and a sniper. The kids you're talking about may be the former, but a sniper is something far beyond that. My guess is either Russians or Chinese.
