MSNBC was just showing a retrospective of the day, with lots of images from the Palestine Hotel.
Dear sweet Lara Bazooka, in a performance worthy of Nancy "Why Me?" Kerrigan, was shown bawling her eyes out "they hit the Reuters office". To be fair to Kerrigan, she at least had no reason to believe someone would take a shot at her knee. Lara, in a war zone, had every reason to know better.
Given her rather biased reporting before yesterday, and her even worse garbage today, she's in the running for Peter Arnett's Iraqi suck-up seat.

Poor Lara Ligan.

The parallels between independent journalists in a war zone who expect to be able to move around and not get hurt or shot, and the phenomena called human shields has been surfacing for me today.

I laughed so hard at this the cats looked at me like I was crazy. Well, that's really nothing new for them, I guess, but I was laughing really hard.
I'd say judging from the ABCCBSNBC coverage that there are quite a few candidates for the suck up seat.

The Baghdad media corps going bonkers. This is soooooooo sweet. No wonder Laran Logan's checking to see if her silly head is still screwed on the rest of her body.

Lara was hired for two reasons, neither of which was her brain.
Personally, I think the journalists' deaths were absolutely worth it just to see her tantrum.
