You bring up a good point about the baby boomers. No offense to any on these boards but much of the reason that the "greatest generation" is in contrast to the boomers. One can only hope that the young men and women serving now are emblematic of a greater generation that is still emerging.
"The Greatest Generation", eh? Their five hour cocktail parties, and tomcat live style not only wrecked havoc on the roads and marriage, but let the socialists gain the upper hand in every branch of government. The worst stuff of the baby boomers is only by their bad exmaples.
Just compare their war-fighting and its heavy tolls of blood with ours! We win quick and bloodless.
Sorry -- you'll not hear me calling those calloused slacked boozers "The Greatest Generation".
