| April 8, 2003 Release Number: 03-04-83 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE A-10 DOWN IN BAGHDAD; PILOT RECOVERED BY COALITION GROUND FORCES OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM - A Coalition A-10 "Warthog" went down near Baghdad International Airport at approximately 2:15 a.m. EDT. The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and was recovered by Coalition ground forces near the airport. The pilot is reported to be in good condition.
