RE: No running water.
At that time (last nite USA), they were cautious of flushing and turning on faucets due to the possibility of sabotage.

Get a dish if you can. I can't recommend it enough. I've talked 4 friends into buying once since the war started - and they're now FOX junkies, too. LOL.
CNN is a lost cause...and they don't even know it.

Dear sweet Lara Bazooka, in a performance worthy of Nancy "Why Me?" Kerrigan, was shown bawling her eyes out "they hit the Reuters office". To be fair to Kerrigan, she at least had no reason to believe someone would take a shot at her knee. Lara, in a war zone, had every reason to know better. Lara was hired for two reasons, neither of which was her brain.
Personally, I think the journalists' deaths were absolutely worth it just to see her tantrum.

well, Batchelor & Alexander are going with the story: the restaurant B1 strike was a counter intelligence operation, a setup by the Iraqis (similar to the other stories we have seen today).

But of course daaarrrrrling, they would never let anything happen to meeeeee.

What did Christiane say? That journalists are more important than American soldiers.

I swear by DISHNETWORK, I'm up in Alaska and yet I have 1000 channels, plus I have a Dishplayer, like a TIVO, can record anything I watch.

I love DISH, too. Anyone with Direct? How is it?

Fox - Ollie reporting that Fedaheen tried to run a checkpoint with an ambulence. When it didn't stop, Marines opened fire. The Fedaheen then detonated the car, killing two inside, both Jordanian.Excellent.
To: Timesink
The media will probably report that they are targeting ambulances, now.

I agree with what is being said on FNC. We will know if SH is dead, word of mouth.

I have direcTV and love it. I visit some home theater forums, and someone on one just did a side by side comparison on a big-screen. The only really big difference between the two was slightly fewer compression artifiacts with DirecTV. As far as hardware goes, if you want HDTV with dish, you'll need a second dish, plus a module to plug into your STB to get all the offerings. With DirecTV, it's all through one (oval) dish. I think DirecTV provides more local channels, too, if that's an issue.

I have Direct Tv. It works well and costs about the same as cable. If you want local channels, it costs about $10 more than the cable.
I have cable modem, so I pay $10 a month to get the sub-basic cable. Every cable system has one, but they don't advertise it. The sub-basic cable has your local broadcast channels only.
I can switch back and forth from the cable to the dish.

Does anyone know if the satellite dish networks have the high-speed internet available anywhere (boonies?). How is it? Thinking about moving out to an area with no dsl or cable. Thanks!
