INITIAL RELEASE: REPORTS OF ATTACK ON AL JAZEERA
CAMP AS SAYLIYAH, Qatar US Central Command is investigating reports that an Al Jazeera news team may have been injured during hostilities in Baghdad.

"Ashamed to be a journalist" when he saw reporters crowding around the bloody wounded people being carried out, trying to get pictures. Bingo. Most of the non-allied press is only there to try to win a Pulitzer by taking snaps of kids with their flesh on fire, for example.

Did car alarms go off after the explosion?
If so, then we did it.
If not, then they did it.
We're the only ones with munitions powerful to cause car alarms to go off.
HUMOR !!

Just to add to the other responses, it's primarily an anti-tank weapon (shaped-charge warhead), but is used for just about anything where you want a "boom" on the other end...

David Chater, the Sky News reporter stated clearly in his live interview that the Western Jouralists at the Palestine are STILL under the control of the Hussein Government. Anything he and other Western Reporters are now saying must contine to be questioned as to real facts, especially since their Iraqi Minders are desparate and armed. You absolutely sure he said that? Cause if he did, he could have been tryng to send a message back to us that he's got a gun to his head, literally or figuratively.

I'm not positive, but I believe so. I need to dig through this stuff some more...

Look at Chater now, he was getting pressured it seemed, looked like he was almost in tears.Chater said he and all the journalists were still under the control of the Iraqi Government. He also said that he saw the U.S. tanks specifically target Western Jouralists. I don't believe, Chater really thinks the Western reporters are really targets, he just said that in his interview in front of the minders for the Hussein regime.

Yep, I heard car alarms go off after the big boom on the webcam. However, they seem to go off when it is too windy as well.

Plenty of rumbling on the Baghdad cam now. Car alarm again.

I predict today is the day we see the dancing in the streets. On a wide scale. Indeed. It is long overdue.
I've seen some dancing in Iraq, but each time they stop, look around to see if Saddam is breathin' down their back and go back in their homes . . .
But after yesterday's civilian uprisings in Baghdad and Basrah, I bet today's the day too !
