Hard to find fault with the observations, but I seriously question the timing of this article and hence its real intended purpose.

Yup. That's where I'm at too. As the new Iraq considers its political options, I'm sure other M.E. nations will be watching very closely. Let's hope that our own nation will re-visit and review our own founding principles during that process and find the need to re-chisel our Constitution into something less malleable than rubber.
