"Unfortunately for OPEC, Iraq's not an OPEC nation."
http://www.opec.org/ They're still on the roster. Recent events may take them out of OPEC but right now they are a member nation.

you are paying for crude + refining + shipping + taxes + profit. And only crude has gone down...but only crude went up.

Most of the protestors have no idea where Venezuela is or what is happening there.

We saw gas prices in N. California this past weekend drop from a Nickel less per gallon to 13 cents per gallon.
I have never seen that happen on a weekend. The stations usually drop the prices after the Monday morning commute is over.

Right now they use the money to spread the religion of the prophet.
Are you sure this drop in prices is a bad thing?

President Bush needs to send our Sec. of Tech. out everywhere talking about coal-gassification and how new processes such as thermo-acoustic stirling engines and new catalysts are making it cost effective. Search on google and one place in America says it can convert coal into gas for around $1.35 a gallon. Just our Sec. of Tech. talking about it on news shows will get those spigots opening again.

I don't think the drop in price is bad, but the issue of what is happening in the near future for them when oil is abandoned would be.
These goofs don't seem to be looking into the future at all. They should be dedicating a portion of their wealth for crops to feed their people.
Eventually not many will need oil anymore and all they will have are palaces and sand with no food.
Sounds good to some, but that means the population will get violent more so than now.
A future issue IMO!
