Saddam Hussein killed an average of 5500 innocent civilians per month, during his bloody thirty year reign. The only way to end this slaughter was to prosecute this war. It was done as quickly, and with as few civilian casualties as feasible. The simple minded, as this letter writer so aptly represents, would have us continue the genocide rule of the bloody Saddam, for fear of war in general. She would tolerate much more death than this entire war shall require, because of her fear, and mainly lack of understanding of the situation, and the real nature of war and the military. That is why we have leaders, like Bush, and why we do not need politicians like Clinton.
