I was reiterating a statement made by my husband, who did three tours in VN. He choked up and said that these pix reminded him of the Vietnamese.

if freeing other people from oppressive regimes is a reason to go to war we are going to be busy for a long time.

I'm up for it! Where to next?!

Great stuff. The one of the crying swarrior with the child in his arms just brings me to tears. God bless their good work.

I think it needs to be said that the motives for our involvement in Vietnam were honorable and right. The war was lost not because of our military, but because of our politicians. Please convey my thanks to your husband for his service there. Many of us out here are proud of their dedication to duty and to this country.

As decorated as Audie Murphy. He is lucky to be alive and I am luckier to have him.

Opps. Grammar check -- Make that "we're grateful for their duty and service to this country." We're also proud of them too.

A long time? Okay, lets say 15 countries at three weeks each - the troops will be back by Easter next year! (Or earlier - France should only take a day or two!) It will never happen though - we were only in it for the oil. ;)

Just joking, don't take it so seriously. I just remembered that we were in Viet Nam when I started elementary school and still there when I finished high school. No doubt same applies to you.

Okay, so how are they "not unlike Vietnam"?

For one thing the eyes aren't right and seeing the women doesn't make a guy think he's already in heaven.

I wish someone would go to DUh-land and post this there. They think it is all fake. They are also posting a picture of a boy who lost his arms because of the war with glee. They take such delight in every civilian death or injury because they think it proves them right. It proves what sickos they really are over there.

Anyone who wishes to post these photos on DUh is welcomed. Frankly, I consider those sick bastards hopeless. The only joy I get is that they appear to be part of a shrinking minority in this country, and I sincerely believe that they are going to be sorely disappointed with the elections next year.

I hope more photos will be added to this thread. I showed my 9 year old son and let him read the title of the thread. He choked up, just as I did.
Anyone who can look at these and not understand why Saddam's Regime had to be removed is clearly lacking in conscience and morality. Yes, I'm aware there's more to it than just freeing the people, but to see these pictures is enough for me, for now.

God bless you, and your 9 year old son. Even at his young age, he knows the reason for such conflict, and when the US is involved, its to free people from oppression and bring justice to those people.

I suppose the photos would be banned immediately anyway. Great photos though. Thanks for posting them.
As for them being disappointed... they still aren't even sure who to vote for next year. What's great is that they keep dissing all of their candidates and post the problem with all of them.
