During their tour at Fort Bliss, a sprawling military base on the western tip of Texas, Jessica Lynch and Lori Ann Piestewa had little choice but to spend time together.
As logistics and supply specialists, their military duties constantly intertwined. When Private First Class Lynch needed to stock up on toilet paper or shaving kits for deploying troops, she ordered the gear from Private First Class Piestewa, stationed in a nearby warehouse.
When they were not at work -- a rarity in the weeks leading up to the Iraqi war -- the pair shared a tiny room at the 507th Maintenance Company barracks, where they had long ago ditched their green, army-issued bed sheets for something a tad brighter.
Their close relationship, however, extended beyond work and sleep. Since arriving at Fort Bliss in the Fall of 2001, the young women from opposite sides of America had become the best of friends, spending even the rare free time they had in each other's company.
"You never saw one without seeing the other," Sergeant Shirley Atma said yesterday. "They were very outgoing and happy people."

Listen, stupid.
Listen carefully.
Where did I say that "I am enraged."?
Quote me where I said I was enraged.
And yes, I did prove that you said that.
In post 47.
"If private industry wants to give her this or that, I'm not going to complain."
How about actually debating something?
And because I'm telling you to debate like an adult, I'm a hypocrite?
Look in the mirror pal.
If you want to debate, try some other tack beside insulting and being an idiot?

There wouldn't be a 'worst' thing to happen if women weren't in combat, no? I served with women that were a credit to the uniform, but women do NOT belong in combat.Your opinion. I say they can do behind-the-lines work.

And you're proving yourself to be an intellectual wimp by not honestly debating anything. You're a hypocrite.
Instead you insult and whine.
Where have I whined?
Then whine some more when you get the same treatment. Not only are you a dinoflagellum, but you are much more a hypocrit than many that I have had teh honoe of debating.
You're a hypocrite.
How about debating for once rather than doing your Clinton two step and playing stupid. Need an example of it to refresh your faulty memory? I'll be happy to refresh your memory. Just look aover all your posts where your standing spouting questions over what was just said to you. Don't play stupid, it demeans your lineage.
You're seeing things. LOL

Opinion?
Try fact of the matter, idiot.
If you've ever served in uniform, you'd know that.
If you've ever spoken to a soldier, you'd know that.
Terrorists are everywhere like you said.
There is no such thing as behind the lines.
How many times do I need to shoot that down.

He's speculating and assuming because there are some of us that say women should not be in combat. No, because some are spreading potentially false rumors.

I'm seeing things?
Really?
Where? and How?
One just needs to go to your homepage and find in forum to see all the remarks where you are apparently not understanding anyting said to you.
I recommend a song to you to listen to.

I keep hearing the media report that these reporters volunteered ..... and are heros. Although David Bloom was the only reporter on the today show I liked and am sorry he died, he was not killed and.... These reporters have been ASSIGNED to the war and are paid probably a 100 times more than our men and women risking their lives to free Iraq. T

I'm a liar, eh? You're caught. And you're the one that said private industry does that.I said "this or that". You're seeing things that don't exist. Private industry has said they're going to give her a scholarship, a car, and other stuff. Where do you get "medals" out of that?

And you are a loud-mouthed twit who knows absolutely NOTHING about me, or what I have or have not done... Nice try, though...Funny how you're not mentioning anything you've sacrificed for your country.

For one thing - I dont' HAVE to justify what I have done, to you, or anyone else - the people who sacrificed with me know, and quite frankly what they think of my sacrifices matters a whole hell of a lot more to me than someone who never served...
Deal with it...
