You're right that Utah Girl never engages in the name calling attacks that others on this forum engage in, but she should have been able to discern from the fact that I was defending Ed Smart's hiring of an entertainment lawyer, that I was not attacking the LDS church.

I am just sick and tired of some of the Mormons on Free Republic attacking anyone who does not adhere to their beliefs, whether you are making negative comments or not. It is irrational.

Negative comments about Ed or Tom Smart's behavior is not a commentary on the church to which they belong. One would think that seemingly rational people could understand that. Apparently, not all can.

Irrational personal attacks do not help anyone.

We should look into this case as a lesson to all of us with daughters.

We cannot be too vigilant about their safety, and we should be very careful about bringing strangers into our homes.

I hope I will remember these lessons in the future, not letting my guard down.

Eva, - you and I have shared words together before - mostly about smoking if I recall - I dont know you from a hill of beans but I think in light of everything protestants have had to put up with lately when dealing with mormons, your unsolicited comment bears repeating to the mods.

When it gets so bad that someone from the non religious threads notices the nonsense, it needs to be highlighted

In every instance you come up with you'll find that it's simply a "Mormon" who got sick and tired of one of that handful of people here on FR who contribute NOTHING to any discussion, except an attack on Latter-Day Saints' beliefs.
