Westerfield had about a quarter-gram(not a ton)of eminently falsifiable evidence against him, acuired under suspicious circumstances and timing, by people with a record of reprimands for falsifying evidence.

Ricci "confessed" to this and that unsoved crime, including stealing things from the smarts that Ed "didn't know were missing." But we'll never hear that confession in court, now, will we? Because he died of a "brain hemmorage" in jail.

Indeed, the very idea that a religious organization -- which devotes virtually every dime of the billions of dollars it receives annually from the voluntary contributions of its members to the building of chapels, temples, universities, an a missionary effort whose success is without peer -- would consider as "a financial opportunity" the tithes from the few million dollars (at best) a family purportedly intends to make in royalties from the telling of their sad story is far beyond ludicrous and vile.
