could be true. unfortunately, fox has exhibited an unfortunate tendency to report wishful thinking in lieu of fact during this war. this is the fourth or fifth wmd site they've gone forward with. in the others they sort of backed down later. (in keeping with the policy of alleging during primetime and apologizing late at night, lit. cit. geraldo making his accusations against msnbc at 11:30 a.m. monday and his admission at 10:30 p.m. sunday.) so until it's confirmed by centcom, it's something that fox hopes is true.

I agree, Reuters put this out and we know that they cannot be trusted. There is way too much emphasis on this topic now and all should become clear after we get the situation under control.

Unfortunately true. Fox has not been the best during the war. If were not for the other networks rooting for the other guys, I would watch one of them. Also Shepherd Smith irritates me for some reason.

I agree that FOX hasn't been extremely accurate in early reports so far, but I did wonder why they had Shep Smith in this morning instead of Fox and Friends (even though they are there, I saw Steve and Brian briefly), I figured they
had some BIG news today that they didn't "trust" with the morning gang.

fox has exhibited an unfortunate tendency to report wishful thinking in lieu of fact during this war. Oh, please. I'd love to see some examples of Fox doing something that other networks have not.
What normally happens is Fox or some other network comes forward with a possible WMD discovery, and everyone here falls all over themselves to comment on it. Often times the DoD/CENTCOM disclaimers saying nothing has been confirmed are completely overlooked.

Good caution. They have been really disappointing.

Bear in mind that NPR reported this story in considerable depth this AM, prior to Fox or anyone else reporting it.

fox has exhibited an unfortunate tendency to report wishful thinking in lieu of fact Perhaps so. However, other networks frequently say that our military "claims" this or that achievement as though they don't really believe it. This usually comes from one of the network semi-celebrity reporters back in the US, not from embedded reporters at the front. I get enough of that condescending disbelief out of the fifth-column Washington press corps. Very irritating.
