I still haven't found a link to that interview with the Italians. But I find Aziz did give an interview to ABC News on Mar. 30: Tariq Aziz interview: Excerpts.

This story may refer to the April 4th interview:

Tariq Aziz made an appearance last week after not being seen for some time. There is speculation Saddam's longtime deputy, a Christian, may be being held against his will.
