Jessica Lynch, he called, were United States soldiers and were here to protect you and take you home.I know this sounds sappy, but I cried when I heard the general at the Saturday Centcom briefing read those words (....sorry....it's a chick thing.....)
I can't quite figure out why I cried--maybe I was just feeling a teeny tiny bit of what Jessica must have felt when she heard those unforgettable words.

I loved Jessica's words also, "I'm an United States soldier too."
Darn straight.

It's not just a chick thing. My daughter is a Marine Corps Staff Sergeant and us dads know how you feel.

I cried too, but I also cry at commercials so that isn't saying much :-)
